There is Something Wrong in this Country.....

There is something wrong in this country when the government can threaten families with abuse charges for spanking a child, but the public schools and police can put 8 year old kids in handcuffs because they are acting up.

Have families really abdicated their responsibilities of parenting to the schools or have the schools taken over by government decree and the parents don’t have a say any longer? If the best the schools have to offer is to handcuff kids with their hands behind their backs and the handcuffs placed on their biceps and leave them like that for fifteen minutes, then this is just another way that the schools are failing at their jobs and worse, guilty of abuse!

When I was in school during the 1960’s and 1970’s, if I got in trouble, the best way the school had to punish me was to call my parents. I got a lecture from my parents, which was bad because they always turned out to be right. I got spankings from my parents for not doing as I was supposed to at school and for causing trouble at school, and sometimes I got grounded. No use of the car for a couple of weeks, or no leaving the house. Or added chores. And I was really out of line, I got the lecture, the spanking, and the grounding. I wonder if there is a statute of limitations on spankings? I’d hate to see my 80 year old parents go to jail for daring to spank their children 50 years ago.

Now parents are afraid to discipline their kids. Either the teachers will call it abuse, or they’ll call the police and you’ll be branded a child abuser, forced to take counseling on how not to destroy little Johnny’s self esteem, and possibly jail time. God forbid if you take away their cell phone, let alone driving privileges.

There is something wrong in this country when the government can force their way in to reading our E-mail but the former first lady of Arkansas, former first lady of the United States, former Senator from New York and former Secretary of State (all the same person in Hillary Clinton) can use her own personal server and E-mail address rather than the secure government address, and then pick and choose what she thinks is relevant to turn over to the government two years after she leaves office. My sending and receiving jokes is not that important, but apparently, it’s more important to the government than E-mails that should be classified and deal with National Security.

Luckily, it seems a federal judge thinks that the law should be followed and that Clinton shouldn’t be handing off a thumb drive with her E-mails on it to a lawyer who has no clearance to have that information.

There is something wrong in this country when a man decides to run for President of the United States and the “professional” politicians say he’s not qualified. Professional politicians got us national health care despite more than 2/3 of the country not wanting it. Professional politicians are running for President knowing that the majority of the country does not want Common Core, but still say there is nothing wrong with it and they won’t do anything to end it. Professional politicians have been telling us for years that they’d fix social security, but they haven’t.

Even the professional politicians that I have to vote for to avoid having another 8 years of socialism, can lie and keep their jobs or move to a higher position of authority by lying to us. Republicans ran promising to stop Obamacare, but they funded it. They promised to stop the executive order Obama signed allowing illegal aliens status in this country, but they funded it and didn’t stop it. Professional politicians promised to have a three day waiting period on bills so that everyone that wanted to read it, could, but they haven’t done so.

The qualifications to run for President in this country are simple. You must have been born here in this country and been a resident for the past 14 years. You must be 35 years old or older. Donald Trump qualifies.

Donald Trump was not politically correct when he said that Mexico was not sending their best to this country but that they were sending the murderers, and drug dealers and criminals here. He also said he assumes that some are good people. But what Donald Trump was, was honest and saying what many people are complaining about when comes to illegal immigration. Yes, we should send them back and if they want to come back legally fine. We do NOT need to find a way for them to stay. Or create special visas or work permits to those that have broken our laws to get here.

There is something wrong in this country when the President of the United States sends three representatives to the funeral of a criminal that attacked one of our police officers, but doesn’t even comment on the death of Kate Steinle who was murdered by an illegal alien in a sanctuary city that was created because he refuses to enforce the laws that we have on the books already.

We shouldn’t be shocked by this when he has been on the wrong side from the very earliest days of his presidency when the professor at Cambridge got belligerent with a police officer who was investigating a possible break in to the man’s house. The president holding a beer summit after proclaiming the police acted stupidly has possibly led to more and more incidents, such as Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Freddie Gray, and the riots in Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland.

Here's a thought for you. On September 11, 2001, there were 2,977 killed by the terrorists. Since President Obama took office, there have been 2,993 Americans murdered by illegal aliens! But the President will not enforce the existing laws. 

There is something wrong in this country when we are suspect when we look at what's happening in this country and say that there is something wrong in this country.

How to Handle Terrorists

As everyone knows, President Obama has said that they have no strategy to take on ISIS. He takes 20 minutes to give an answer which is nothing more than excuses for what he's not doing. 

Following is a speech from 1986. The speaker is President Ronald Reagan. The highlighting that is in this speech is highlighting that I have done. Can you imagine a President Obama saying these things? I urge you to read this speech: 



My fellow Americans:
At 7 o'clock this evening eastern time air and naval forces of the United States launched a series of strikes against the headquarters, terrorist facilities, and military assets that support Mu`ammar Qadhafi's subversive activities. The attacks were concentrated and carefully targeted to minimize casualties among the Libyan people with whom we have no quarrel. From initial reports, our forces have succeeded in their mission.
Several weeks ago in New Orleans, I warned Colonel Qadhafi we would hold his regime accountable for any new terrorist attacks launched against American citizens. More recently I made it clear we would respond as soon as we determined conclusively who was responsible for such attacks. On April 5th in West Berlin a terrorist bomb exploded in a nightclub frequented by American servicemen. Sergeant Kenneth Ford and a young Turkish woman were killed and 230 others were wounded, among them some 50 American military personnel. This monstrous brutality is but the latest act in Colonel Qadhafi's reign of terror. The evidence is now conclusive that the terrorist bombing of La Belle discotheque was planned and executed under the direct orders of the Libyan regime. On March 25th, more than a week before the attack, orders were sent from Tripoli to the Libyan People's Bureau in East Berlin to conduct a terrorist attack against Americans to cause maximum and indiscriminate casualties. Libya's agents then planted the bomb. On April 4th the People's Bureau alerted Tripoli that the attack would be carried out the following morning. The next day they reported back to Tripoli on the great success of their mission.
Our evidence is direct; it is precise; it is irrefutable. We have solid evidence about other attacks Qadhafi has planned against the United States installations and diplomats and even American tourists. Thanks to close cooperation with our friends, some of these have been prevented. With the help of French authorities, we recently aborted one such attack: a planned massacre, using grenades and small arms, of civilians waiting in line for visas at an American Embassy.
Colonel Qadhafi is not only an enemy of the United States. His record of subversion and aggression against the neighboring States in Africa is well documented and well known. He has ordered the murder of fellow Libyans in countless countries. He has sanctioned acts of terror in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, as well as the Western Hemisphere. Today we have done what we had to do. If necessary, we shall do it again. It gives me no pleasure to say that, and I wish it were otherwise. Before Qadhafi seized power in 1969, the people of Libya had been friends of the United States. And I'm sure that today most Libyans are ashamed and disgusted that this man has made their country a synonym for barbarism around the world. The Libyan people are a decent people caught in the grip of a tyrant.
To our friends and allies in Europe who cooperated in today's mission, I would only say you have the permanent gratitude of the American people. Europeans who remember history understand better than most that there is no security, no safety, in the appeasement of evil. It must be the core of Western policy that there be no sanctuary for terror. And to sustain such a policy, free men and free nations must unite and work together. Sometimes it is said that by imposing sanctions against Colonel Qadhafi or by striking at his terrorist installations we only magnify the man's importance, that the proper way to deal with him is to ignore him. I do not agree.
Long before I came into this office, Colonel Qadhafi had engaged in acts of international terror, acts that put him outside the company of civilized men. For years, however, he suffered no economic or political or military sanction; and the atrocities mounted in number, as did the innocent dead and wounded. And for us to ignore by inaction the slaughter of American civilians and American soldiers, whether in nightclubs or airline terminals, is simply not in the American tradition. When our citizens are abused or attacked anywhere in the world on the direct orders of a hostile regime, we will respond so long as I'm in this Oval Office. Self-defense is not only our right, it is our duty. It is the purpose behind the mission undertaken tonight, a mission fully consistent with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
We believe that this preemptive action against his terrorist installations will not only diminish Colonel Qadhafi's capacity to export terror, it will provide him with incentives and reasons to alter his criminal behavior. I have no illusion that tonight's action will ring down the curtain on Qadhafi's reign of terror. But this mission, violent though it was, can bring closer a safer and more secure world for decent men and women. We will persevere. This afternoon we consulted with the leaders of Congress regarding what we were about to do and why. Tonight I salute the skill and professionalism of the men and women of our Armed Forces who carried out this mission. It's an honor to be your Commander in Chief.
We Americans are slow to anger. We always seek peaceful avenues before resorting to the use of force -- and we did. We tried quiet diplomacy, public condemnation, economic sanctions, and demonstrations of military force. None succeeded. Despite our repeated warnings, Qadhafi continued his reckless policy of intimidation, his relentless pursuit of terror. He counted on America to be passive. He counted wrong. I warned that there should be no place on Earth where terrorists can rest and train and practice their deadly skills. I meant it. I said that we would act with others, if possible, and alone if necessary to ensure that terrorists have no sanctuary anywhere. Tonight, we have.

Obama Continues to Fail

Please read the quotes from Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“Whether the deal is approved or disapproved, we will never stop supporting our friends in the region and the people of Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Bahrain and Lebanon,”  And this, “Even after this deal, our policy toward the arrogant U.S. will not change. We don’t have any negotiations or deal with the U.S. on different issues in the world or the region.”

While he was saying those words, his audience was shouting, “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,”

This wasn’t before the negotiations or even before negotiations were set up. This was on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Nearly a week AFTER the President agreed to the deal with Iran!

During his news conference, President Obama scolded CBS correspondent Major Garrett for the way he questioned the President about the Americans being held hostage and then said this, “Now, if the question is why we did not tie the negotiations to their release, think about the logic that that creates. Suddenly, Iran realizes, you know what, maybe we can get additional concessions out of the Americans by holding these individuals. It makes it much more difficult for us to walk away if Iran somehow thinks that a nuclear deal is dependent in some fashion on the nuclear deal. And, by the way, if we had walked away from the nuclear deal, we’d still be pushing them just as hard to get these folks out. That’s why those issues are not connected. But we are working every single day to try to get them out, and won’t stop until they’re out and rejoined with their families.”

First of all, why would we even arrange for any negotiations with Iran? They are the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world! Second, if Iran wanted to negotiate, wouldn’t it make more sense to tell them, “if you ever want to have any sort of relationship with the United States, you will FIRST release the hostages that you have that are Americans! Then MAYBE we'll consider talking. Now that we'll lift sanctions and give Iran over $120 Billion, does that make us financing terrorism? I thought that was illegal. 

Third, if they did release the hostages after our leader said something like that, the first time that an Iranian government official said anything like “great satan” or “death to Israel” or death to America”, why didn’t Secretary of State Kerry say to them, “you’re obviously not serious in wanting to co-exist with the United States nor our friends in Israel, so the talks have now ended.”

In addition, even without the hostages release, Iranians were saying these things. Why weren’t the talks ended immediately? Obama calls it “their spin”. Is he really that stupid??!!???

Following the agreement with Iran and Obama’s press conference, we had four marines an one navy serviceman killed in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The President didn’t say that we’re going to find out all we can and then make those responsible if more than just the gunman pay for their actions. Instead he said we’d assess the situation and take further precautions. Tonight, in a marine magazine, they are reporting that marines are not to wear their uniforms. We are now putting our military in hiding??

President Obama has stated that Global Warming or Climate change is a national security threat. He has said that government health care saves lives. He has called ISIS a JV team. Now we find out that our military is not allowed to carry weapons!

Well, Mr. President, the so-called experts on global warming that you keep referencing are now saying that sun will go to sleep in a few years possibly putting us into an ice age. Your health care that military personnel have didn’t save the lives of those five brave souls that we lost in Tennessee. If ISIS is the JV team, and they are bringing their attacks onto our soil, does that mean under your administration that we have a little league team?  Could you at least issue sling shots to our military so that they are at least not looking like ducks in a shooting gallery?

The local police are the ones that shot and killed the shooter. That seems a little backwards that the police departments are the ones protecting the military rather than the military protecting the country on our own soil. These men and women fight gallantly abroad, does this president think they can’t do so at home? Yet, he’s cutting 40,000 troops from the budget in the midst of a war.

This President must believe that his way will change the hearts and minds of our enemy so that they won’t attack others. He must want all to gather around and sing kumbaya and all will be well. He hasn’t got a clue that these terrorists want to kill Americans. But the terrorists have a clue. They are recruiting our kids through twitter and facebook. We cannot depend on the government. We need to know what our children are doing. 

He couldn’t get the guns away from the American people so he disarms the military. We’ll need our guns when the terrorists decide that they can now start shooting civilians on our own soil.

Any city that isn’t aligned with the proper (according to him) amounts of each race will lose federal funding. This is what he worries about when there are terrorists that are trying to kill us?

Since the President of the United States is ordering those that he has access to to hide from would be attackers, then it must be up to the American citizen to hang signs in their windows and on their backs that tells terrorists to make sure their first shot counts because we will shoot back! Unfortunately, the one guy in this nation that should say it, doesn’t have what it takes to stand up for the American people as he was elected to do.

Undocumented vs Illegal

Do you remember Henry Louis Gates Jr.? He was the professor that couldn’t get into a house he was staying in by the front door. He had to enter through the back door. The front door was jammed. Someone saw him trying to force the front door open and called the police and said there may be a burglary taking place. The police showed up and found Professor Gates inside the home. The matter was settled despite Gates being belligerent with the officer. Gates didn’t let up, claiming that this was only happening because he’s black. After repeated warnings that Gates was being disorderly and to calm down, the officer eventually arrested him and charged him with disorderly conduct. The charges were dropped a few days later. Professor Gates spent four hours in custody.

President Obama entered the fray saying that the Cambridge police acted stupidly. Then held the “beer summit”.

Trayvon Martin was walking in a neighborhood his father lived in but that he didn’t live in. He was spotted by a neighborhood watch citizen and it was called in. A neighborhood that had recently had some break ins. The neighborhood watch man was George Zimmerman. Martin saw Zimmerman and as the trial showed, it was Martin that was on top and banging Zimmerman’s head on the sidewalk. Zimmerman pulled his gun and shot Martin who died.

President Obama said that if he had a son, he’d look like Trayvon Martin. The Justice Department investigated, even contributed to the State’s case against Zimmerman. Zimmerman was acquitted. The Justice Dept then resumed their investigation and concluded that they could not prove a racial bias in the incident on the part of Zimmerman.

Michael Brown stole some cigarellos from a convenience store. A short time later, while walking down the middle of the road, a police officer asked him and his friend to get off the street and onto the sidewalk. Brown became belligerent. He then attacked the officer and tried to get his gun. Brown ran away, then turned back to the officer and charged at him. The officer pulled his gun and fired and killed Brown.

President Obama sent three representatives from the White House to Michael Brown’s funeral. The Grand Jury wouldn’t indict the officer. The Justice Dept cleared the officer of any wrong doing. The officer resigned.

Then there’s the case of Freddie Gray. Still pending. He died while in police custody after running from police. This set off a riot in Baltimore, Md. The Mayor said to let the businesses burn and told the police to stand down. The State Attorney, married to a councilman in Baltimore, said she’d get justice for Freddie Gray. Not for the city, or the people. Not blind justice but justice for Freddie Gray, who may be guilty of at least fleeing from police  and has been convicted in the past. The new Attorney General has also had some involvement although we’ll get those details later as the trial develops. Six police officers are charged and will be put on trial. The White House sent three representatives to Gray’s funeral.

Now we have Kathyrn Steinle murdered on a pier in San Francisco. She did not have a shady past. In fact, everywhere she’s been she’s been an inspiration to others. She wasn’t approached by police. She didn’t have a confrontation with anyone and she wasn’t belligerent with anyone. She was walking along the pier with her father. The only words she reportedly said were to her father. When the shot rang out, she dropped and she said “Dad, help me.” He tried desperately to save his daughter’s life. She died soon after at the hospital.

Kate Steinle’s only action was to walk on the pier with her father. An illegal alien, shot her. He has said he didn’t single her out. He just shot and she was the one that died. That illegal alien has been in and out of prison in the United States several times. He has been deported and illegally returned at least five times. He purposely went to San Francisco because it is a Sanctuary city. A place where illegal aliens are protected from deportation and arrest.

President Obama has made no public comments about this murder. He’s made no comments about the Sanctuary City problem. He’s made no comment about illegal aliens. He sent nobody from the White House to Kate Steinle’s funeral. The Justice Dept is not investigating this murder. The only government officials to say anything about this is the City of San Francisco blaming the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for the city having to release the murderer they had in custody, and ICE has said that San Francisco never honored ICE’s Detainer where they should have been notified before this murderer was released so they could take him into custody.

It’s reported that we have 11 million illegal aliens in this country (or 30 million if you listen to Geraldo Rivera). Although they call them undocumented immigrants.. The excuse for having them is that “we can’t deport all 11 million.” I’m really tired of hearing what we “can’t” do.

On the other hand, President Obama is taking claim for more deportations than any President in history. However, the numbers are skewed because when they do catch some illegals coming across, the border, they send them back right then and call it a deportation.

Calling them undocumented is a untrue as well. This guy that killed Kate Steinle has more documents than I do. They have documents showing he’s been in prison in this country for 14 years at various times. They have documents showing he’s been deported and that he’s crossed the border illegally again. They’ll call him undocumented but then tell you in the next breath that he has a rap sheet as long as your arm. That would indicate documents!

The Presidential race is now rife with illegal immigration thanks in no small part to Donald Trump. Donald Trump is not tactful with his speeches. He’s not a politician. He speaks the truth as he sees it and it seems that nobody can refute his words, they can only complain about how he puts words together.

The others, mainly Jeb Bush preach about a pathway to citizenship. There is a pathway to this country. The paths are clearly marked. We have laws. If you want to come to this country, we welcome you, but we welcome you to come across legally. The path is the border crossings where there are security people to talk with as you come across. If you choose to sneak across, you’re not coming here legally.

Apparently, we’re supposed to feel sorry for those that sneak across the border illegally. It’s okay to break our law about how to get to this country. Well, we’re now seeing the ramifications of our leaders ignoring the laws they are sworn to uphold. Kate Steile was murdered because our border is not protected. It’s so unprotected that this murderer was able to get here at least five times.

Why do we need to pass more laws to secure the borders? We have laws now that they are not enforcing, why would we want to write more laws when they can’t or won’t enforce the current laws?

The current administration is a joke to say the least. They really have no concept of what’s right and wrong. There will be a price to pay. At some point a terrorist is going to cross the border and do something here. Then we MIGHT get some action about keeping illegal aliens out and getting the illegal aliens out that are already here. But not until it’s cost numerous more Americans their lives in a blatant terrorist attack. Maybe we’ll get lucky and nothing will happen before we get a new President and that new President will actually do as he says and really close off the borders. But I suspect that of the 16 Republicans running, none will do anything about border security. If Hillary is elected, she’ll only appoint staff workers to line the border and hand out voter registration cards as each illegal alien crosses the Rio Grand.

Supreme Court says I'm a Bigot!

The Supreme Court of the United States has just ruled that I’m a bigot. You see, I believe in God. In God’s Word he says that man shall not lie with a man as with a woman. He calls it an abomination. But the Supreme Court says men can marry men and women can marry women.

It’s been stated here before that what people do behind closed doors is their business between them and God. I don’t need, nor do I want to see it though. If you want to be gay, have at it. But keep it private. Do not ask me to sanction something that I don’t believe in. Marriage is not a right. It’s a privilege.

If we follow the Supreme Court ruling are we to believe that when we die, we don’t stand before God but instead we stand before the Supreme Court? When people say “he has gone to meet his maker” do they mean he’s gone to the Supreme Court?

Churches are going to be in trouble in this country eventually. If they follow the Bible, they will not be able to perform marriages between same sex couples without defying God. I think I’d prefer to defy the Supreme Court rather than to defy God.

Some businesses will be in trouble. If a caterer refuses to cater a wedding between a gay couple because they choose to follow God rather than the Supreme Court, they will be sued and lose. They will be labeled a bigot and their businesses ruined.

Two days ago the head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said that Climate Change Deniers are not normal. Now, I’m not a climate change denier. I know it changes. In March or April it begins to warm up here. We call that spring. In June or July it gets warmer still and is called summer around here. Then in October or November it starts getting cooler and that’s called Autumn. Around Christmas and especially in January and February it gets really cold and it’s called Winter. So I’m not a climate change denier. It does change. With the seasons. But is there man made global warming? I don’t believe so. The science is not conclusive as they’d have us believe. It stretches credibility to believe that we can destroy the earth by burning our leaves in the fall. So according to the head of the EPA, Gina McCarthy, I'm not normal. 

If they pass gun control to restrict sales to those with a mental disorder, and the government is now saying I'm not normal and a bigot, I'll not be able to buy a gun. But someone else has to buy my health care if I lower my income down. 

I have never looked down at anyone that is gay. I have had friends in the past that claimed to be gay. I didn’t need to know that. They only needed to know that I’m not IF they were expecting more from me than being a friend or acquaintance. Luckily, I’ve never had anyone believe that I was gay.

Since 2004, the people in 32 states have voted that marriage is between a man and a woman. The PEOPLE chose! The courts have overturned the people's vote and now the Supreme Court. Only two states, Maryland and Maine in 2012 have voted for same sex marriage. Following all of those elections where gay marriage lost, the news pundits said little. When two states chose to make same sex legal, the pundits declared it that it reflected a nationwide change of opinion. The act passed in Maryland with 51.9% of the vote. In the 32 states that banned gay marriage by a vote of the people, you see votes in the 60% range, 70% range and a few in the 80% range...all overturned by the courts and now by the Supreme Court. The people spoke and the government said, "shut up". 

If someone asks our opinion about gay marriage and if we give it, they will consider us a bigot. It’s already started on some of the talking head programs.

So I guess I should just come right out and admit now that I’m a bigot. I’ve never had anything against blacks, Asians, Mexicans or any other race. I’ve never even had anything against gays other than I wouldn’t approve of that lifestyle but I don’t remember anyone ever asking my approval. But now, thanks to the Supreme Court, I am labeled a bigot for even having the belief that it’s wrong. But to say it out loud, I guess puts me in the same boat with the KKK.

I remember the good old days when I didn't have the thought police monitoring my thoughts and labeling me as something because I have some different beliefs than others. Now, it appears we are all to be cut from the same cookie cutter or else. Remember when America used to be free?

Confederate Flag: Should it Stay or Go?

With that picture above, I’m sure I’m setting myself up to be called a racist for daring to put a picture of the Confederate flag on the top. My answer? Get over yourself. If you continue to read, and believe, you may understand my position on this. If you just accept the picture as my position and don’t bother with my words, my thoughts, my beliefs, the problem is yours, not mine.

The confederate flag is a part of our history. Not just Northern States history and not just Southern States history but American history. The Civil War was not just about slavery although slavery was the largest part of the reason for the Civil War. It was also about freedom of speech, clearly defined  and separate rights of the states, mandates on runaway slaves and expansion into Cuba. As a good friend of mine in the south says, the Civil War was really the war of Northern Aggression.

This came about again because of a shooting where nine people were killed in South Carolina by a 21 year old shooter who had pictures of himself with the Confederate Flag and another with the American flag but the American Flag he set on fire, held it up and took his picture. Now South Carolina is under fire for still flying the Confederate Flag on the grounds at the State Capitol.

Now we have national monuments being desecrated. Including Thomas Jefferson, and calling for the elimination of monuments of Confederate soldiers and leaders, such as Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis.

This nation was fought for by farmers, shopkeepers, and even teenagers. They fought the strongest empire in the world at the time. It took over six years but eventually, they defeated that empire and won their freedom. They won our freedom! To create this country, even to declare its’ independence, it took some compromises. One of the most hypocritical compromises was about slaves. The Declaration of Independence says “We hold these truths to be self evident. That all men are created equal”. Yet, to get that declaration voted on unanimously, they had to agree not to rid itself of slavery.

In writing the Constitution following the war, there was more compromise in Article 1 Section 9, protecting the slave trade for twenty years. That twenty year period was completed on January 1, 1808. In December 1806 President Jefferson (that would be Thomas Jefferson who’s monument was desecrated) called for the criminalization on the first day that the Constitution allowed. In March 1807 the Congress passed and President Jefferson signed that law and it took effect on January 1, 1808, the very first day that it was constitutionally permitted.

Eleven states seceded from the United States and created their own flag to rally behind. They wanted the same thing that the Union wanted. Freedom. But this time, the Union states were fighting for freedom of slavery, while the rebel states were fighting for freedom to choose their own way of life which had been in place all of their lives. Americans fought against Americans. Approximately, 620,000 died during that war, all believing they died for freedom. That’s more than died in all of our other wars combined until the Vietnam war. Now it’s estimated that 640,000 have died in all of the other wars yet the American civil war claimed 620,000 souls alone. 

Slavery was wrong and is still wrong. It was wrong for us to declare all men are created equal but not live up to that belief for the first 80 years of our nations existence. But it is part of our history and should be out there for us and for others to remember. Not to look back on as the ‘good old days’ but to learn from our mistakes so they aren’t repeated in the future.

We beat the British in the Revolution. The British failed to retake us in the War of 1812. We won the Mexican-American War. We fought in several wars including two world wars ,the Indian wars, Korea, Vietnam and the war on terror. We do not fly the flags of other countries on the Capitol grounds of any state in this country. So Governor Nikki Haley coming out and calling for the removal of the Confederate Flag in South Carolina was I believe, a good move. That doesn’t mean to ban it for private citizens that may fly it as a memory of their ancestors or for any other reason they may want to fly that flag. As far as the States and Federal Government, the flag should be in museums as part of our history. By the way, the Civil War ended 150 years ago. 

We have a history in this nation that we should be proud of. Unfortunately, there are some things in our history that we should be ashamed of. Slavery is one that we should be ashamed of.

The shooter of the nine Americans at the church in South Carolina apparently confessed to hating people and shooting them because of their race. However, the family of those nine and the parishioners of that church came out publicly and forgave the shooter. He shot those nine people because of skin pigmentation and they forgive him.

I believe that this incident is exactly what this nation is all about. It’s not about gun control. It’s not about racism. It’s not about hatred. There were nine that died. Their family and parishioners forgave the shooter. That’s maybe 100 people that forgave the one. I’ll take the 100 forgiving Americans over the 1 hate filled American each and every day and tell you that this is what this country is really about. We have some bad apples but we have many more that are the embodiment of what this country is all about and the people of South Carolina showed the best of America against one that is the worst of America.

Questions for Hillary that won't be asked

Hillary Clinton announced she was running for President in April 2015. For several weeks the press was up in arms because she refused to entertain questions from the press.

Just prior to her announcement as a candidate for President, it was discovered that she had not been using her State Department E-mail but rather her own personal E-mail from her own private server. She went through her E-mail records and claimed that she sent on her E-mails that were State Department business, then said the rest were personal E-mails about preparation for her mothers funeral and her granddaughter.

Just prior to that, by about a week, it was disclosed that the Clinton Foundation had been accepting foreign donations.

So what questions would the press ask if they were allowed to ask questions of Hillary? They say that they’d like to ask about the E-mails, the foreign donations and her campaign. But those questions were never asked because she wouldn’t hold press sessions. Instead, she would gather at a table with a few people in Iowa to listen to concerns of everyday Iowans. Then it was discovered that the everyday Iowans were hand picked supporters of hers.

There are some very serious and straightforward questions that I and many others would like answered that it’s unlikely the press would ask, and even less likely that she’d answer.

I believe a series of questions should be asked if someone would sit down with her and ask her without worry of intimidation by Clinton or fear that their credentials to be at her events would be revoked.

1.    Mrs. Clinton, while your husband was Attorney General and later Governor of Arkansas and then as President of the United States, you were always identified as Hillary Clinton. Once his presidency was over, you ran as Hillary Clinton for the Senate and once elected you began identifying yourself as Hillary Rodham Clinton. Later as Secretary of State, you started off with just Hillary Clinton and then again changed and began using the Rodham. And in your recent release of E-mails your address was listed as HRod. Now you’re running as Hillary while everyone identifies you as Hillary Clinton or Mrs.Clinton, Secretary Clinton or Senator Clinton. If you’re elected President, will you begin using the Rodham again? And why do you use the Rodham after elected or appointed but not when running or lobbying for a position?

2.    Mrs. Clinton, in the run up to the Iraq war there was intelligence not just from our own intelligence agencies but other intelligence from around the world that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. They had in fact, used it in their war with Iran prior to that. You were given the same intelligence that President Bush had and you voted for the resolution to authorize military action against Iraq. Later when General Petraeus put together the plan for the surge you were against that plan going so far as to say “The reports that you provide to us really require the willing suspension of disbelief,”  Recently, you said that vote was a mistake seeming to blame the Bush administration for fabricating the intelligence. I haven’t heard you say that you made a mistake about the Surge being a mistake. You have admitted being wrong about the run  up to the Iraq war. You have not to my knowledge admitted that you were wrong about the surge. If we go further onto the attack in Benghazi, you advocated and even stated that it was due to an obscure video that was proven wrong within days of the attack that cost four Americans their lives. During your campaign for President in 2008, you asked the question regarding then Senator Barack Obama, who would you rather have answering that phone call at 3:00 in the morning?  You received that 3:00 a.m. phone call during Benghazi. So my question is, if you’re wrong about the run up to the Iraq war, you’re wrong about the surge, and you were involved in the 3:00 a.m. phone call regarding Benghazi, how many mistakes are permitted for you to make as President of the United States if you can’t avoid mistakes that you’re involved in when not President of the United States?

3.    Mrs. Clinton, it was recently discovered that you were using personal E-mail on your personal server. You made it sound as though you personally went through and submitted all E-mails to the State Dept after it was discovered you were using your own E-mail. However, nobody else was given access to your mail. It was solely you that chose the mail that went to the State Dept. Nobody else knows if you were completely honest about that. You even said that nobody would have access to your server and it’s since been reported that you wiped the server clean. That makes it appear you had something to hide since nobody else could see that mail. No independent group or person to verify that you have told the truth regarding government business. However, you said that the State Dept would have copies of it all anyway because you sent it to State Dept E-mail addresses. If that’s true, then why was it necessary for you to turn over 30,000 E-mails to the State Dept if they already had them?

4.    Sticking to the E-mail topic, transparency, safety, and privacy are the reasons for government E-mail to be run through government E-mail addresses. By you choosing to use your own personal E-mail, it’s as though you’re saying that you should be trusted without any question while everyone else should be using the government E-mail system so that the government can prove their honesty and transparency. Why is it that you think you deserve an exception to the rules all others must follow and do you understand why the American citizens can wonder about your integrity when you seem to have that attitude?

5.    There has been many investigations by news organizations regarding foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation and the increased activity with country’s that make those donations by the State Dept. Countries and companies have made donations to the Clinton foundation and received favorable treatment or increased benefits from the State Dept. Norway, Sweden, Afghanistan, Ireland, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Jamaica, just to name a few. Some have donated to the Clinton Foundation and/or paid speaking fees to you and your husband. In some cases there have been increased aid to some countries after they donated to the Clinton Foundation and some that donated to the foundation and then received increased aid. The first time I read it, it appeared as though countries received favorable treatment because they donated to the foundation, then at one point, I noticed how close the numbers seem to be in some cases and I wondered if maybe a country might donate to the foundation after receiving an increase from the State Dept making it appear as though the State Dept is making the donations to the Clinton foundation using other countries as their conduit. Either way, both ways, it appears as though someone is getting their back rubbed for rubbing another’s back. This doesn’t even address Israel’s concern about arms dealing in the middle east that appears to have happened due to the link between the Clinton foundation and the State Dept. The only visible, at this point, common denominator seems to be you. How do you explain this?

6.    The E-mail and the Foreign donations give an appearance of impropriety, but the only real answer from you seems to be that the Foundation does some very good work for needy people all over the world. I think if I was to rob a bank of $1 million dollars and then donate that money to the Prevention of Child Abuse, that there wouldn’t be anyone that would accept my answer about the robbery if my answer was “that money was put to some very good use. There are children that won’t be beaten tonight because of that money.”  You are running for the highest office in the land. Shouldn’t you be required to justify asking the people of this country to give you the trust to work in their best interests rather than your own?

7.    I have heard you say several times about how important it is for this country to have a female president. I believe that most Americans would like to have the best person available to be the President whether that person is male/female/black or white. Is having a female president more important to you than having the best person for the job?

8.    Following the shooting in South Carolina where the nine Americans were shot and killed by the 21 year old American, you tried to blame it on Donald Trump’s announcement for President because his message that day was divisive regarding the criminals coming across from Mexico. Isn’t that using tragedy for political gain?

9.    You said that guns were too easily available and that you sided with the President on gun control  following the shooting in South Carolina. Isn’t that using tragedy for political gain?

10. Recent polls have said that more than half have no trust in you. In view of the topics we’ve talked about, do you think, that any or all of those topics could have something to do with it or do you intend to blame the Republicans or some ubiquitous Right Wing Conspiracy again for people not trusting you? Do you take responsibility for the lack of trust when you’ve put yourself above the American people when in fact you’re running to represent and lead the all of the American people?

The press rails about Hillary not answering questions, but when given the chance, they don’t ask the tough questions. It’s as though they want to get in Hillary’s good graces for their own benefit. Seems like the last time someone made it about himself, he lost an anchor’s chair. Can you say Brian Williams?

Clinton: The Public Trust??

Within a democratic society, or a republic the power is in the hands of the people. That power is LENT to elected officials to handle the affairs of the people through a governmental system. In the United States of America, the founding fathers fought for and rid us of tyranny and a monarchy and put in place a republic. We elect our local leaders to handle the business of our communities. We elect state leaders to handle the the business of our particular state and we elect leaders to handle the affairs of the entire nation as a whole.

While we elect a Senator from our own state to represent our state, they join with other senators from other states to represent the entire country together with each keeping in mind the well being of their own state as well as the nation as a whole.

Don’t misunderstand what’s meant by putting those two paragraphs up there. It is not intended to reinvent the meaning of “public trust” to something that it’s never been before. Sometimes we need to see it in black and white to remind ourselves that it’s easy for leaders to get off track by looking out for themselves rather than those they are elected to look out for.

Harry Reid (D), Senate Minority Leader, was recently asked about his comments during the 2012 election where he said that Candidate Mitt Romney (R) had not paid his taxes for ten years and said he had a confidential source that informed him of this. His answer to the question about that comment was ‘Romney didn’t win did he?” Harry Reid lied in the well of the senate for his own personal reasons and those of his party. He purposely told a lie and did so in the well of the senate to avoid prosecution. That’s not an example of the public trust! That’s an example of corruption.

During the 90’s when Bill Clinton was president, the American people learned of White Water, the Rose Law Firm and shredding and the constant women that Clinton had on the side. There were lies that weren’t even necessary to be told. Clinton claimed to be a Rhodes Scholar but wasn’t. Naturally he lied about the women and was caught in his lies. Travelgate, and all of the people directly or indirectly surrounding Clinton that died usually by suicide or plane crash and even some murders of people where there was a slight connection to Clintons. These things and more were already known to the people of Arkansas.

Now his wife has decided to run for president. She has been one of the most polarizing figures in this country since her husband first decided to run for President. Hillary Clinton ran for the Senate and won following her husband leaving the White House. Since Bill Clinton left office he has set up an entity called the Clinton Foundation. It’s supposedly used for philanthropic purposes. Feeding the hungry, building schools, and so on. Sounds like good work and when they do help those in need, it is a good thing. But do they really do these things? Maybe. But keep this foundation in the back of your mind for a bit.

Hillary ran for President in 2008. It was assumed that she’d win ,but there was a man that was a first term Senator from Illinois and he was black. Now there is a challenge. She lost to Obama. Somehow the Clintons needed the access to the White House. So Bill lobbied hard to get Hillary in as Secretary of State. They were successful. During her four years as Secretary of State she had access to many people around the world as did Bill Clinton.

Earlier this spring, we heard of foreign contributions to the Clinton Foundation. But within hours we started hearing about E-mails being used by Hillary on her private mail rather than using the State Department E-mail. With the Clintons, when something comes out, something else comes out that seems less significant to distract from something more significant.

Now this week, we’re hearing about the foreign contributions again, but this time there is more than even that. Hillary, as Secretary of State, was in a country with connections to Moscow, Russia. Bill Clinton is then given $500,000 for speaking in Moscow within a month. Now, it’s coming out that there is a connection from that to a company getting a mine or mines in this country where we get half of our Uranium from. A company called UraniumOne now owns it and is controlled by none other than Russia. Russia gives Iran nuclear materials and we are in negotiations for a nuclear deal with Iran that nearly everyone around the world seems to be against.

Money has flowed into the Clinton Foundation and it looks very much like much, if not all of it, is due to connections that Hillary Clinton made as Secretary of State.

So again, I’m going to pause and take you back in history a bit. Remember I told you that the Clinton Foundation was doing philanthropic work around the world? Back in Arkansas during the 80’s, Bill Clinton was governor. The “Clinton Machine”, that which raises cash for Cinton’s political career through various means, was run from a business called the Arkansas Financial Development Authority (AFDA). It was a philanthropic organization as well. They were to build schools, churches, etc to help those that were in need. Sound familiar? However, there were accusations, rumors, stories about it being a place to launder drug money in Arkansas. Loans were given and never repaid and not expected to be repaid. Rose Law Firm had ties and it was apparently involved in Whitewater, among other things. This was Clinton’s machine. Is Cilnton’s machine now the Clinton Foundation?

But why would they put America at risk by arranging for Russia to own half of our uranium and give it to Iran? When Bill Clinton was younger he participated in and even organized Ant-American rallies. Not Anti-War, but Anti-America! That too sounds familiar to me. Organized rallies and we now have as President a community organizer, and he’s in negotiations with Iran, the largest sponsor of terrorism in the world.

With all of these similarities and coincidences, why isn’t the mainstream press even reporting much on it? Why does the press spend very little time even mentioning that Hillary uses E-mail, or has received money at the foundation from countries that are guilty of human rights abuses and of suppression of women? The press also has a responsibility to the “public trust”. 

Part of it is believed to be because when the Clintons get favors from people, they reward them with jobs. Jobs in government as he did with some of his girlfriends to have them keep their mouth shut, or jobs with friends, which includes the press. A couple of his girlfriends received jobs in the media. This apparently keeps the press quiet because they’d have to acknowledge that they are hiring people as a favor to Clinton who they are supposed to have an arms length relationship with so they can do their jobs and report the news regardless of the news being good or bad.

When these accusations come out, whether it’s Bill’s girlfriends where Betsy Wright used to run interference with her Bimbo eruption crew, or Whitewater, or shredding documents at a law firm, or any of the myriad of other scandals during the Clinton presidency, they attack the messenger. They call them the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Or the messenger a Republican operative. They try to destroy the accusers credibility even going so far as trumping up charges against the whistleblower to distract and the whistleblower is exonerated weeks later but the damage has been done and the whole thing is now old news. If someone else brings up something new on old  topics, the Clinton’s claim it’s old news.

My favorite is when they say there isn’t a shred of evidence. Of course there’s not a shred of evidence! They shredded the documents or gave the hand picked E-mails over to the State Department from her private server then said the private server has been wiped.

At one point, Hillary said about the E-mails that she turned over the 30,000 E-mails or so that she had that were to and from the State Department. Then later she said there should be no problem because the State Department captures all of the E-mails that come and go anyway. So my question is, if the State Department captures them all anyway, why did she make a big production of having turned over her E-mails to the State Department? If they had them already, why did she find it necessary to do that?

Now that the information is coming out about donor money to the foundation and where it went, they’ve gone on the attack against the accusers and tried to hide it that way. But, yesterday, several donations from foreign countries were found to have come through Canada and were not listed on their forms. Within hours, they said there was an “oversight” and they are now filing amended tax returns for the past five years! Five years! That’s the time that Hillary was the Secretary of State.

Hillary Clinton is running for President. She’s claiming to want to be the Champion of the middle class. The amazing thing is that people actually believe that line! A woman who in the past six months has said that they were broke when they left the White House, and who has raised billions of dollars and gets $250,000 for a speaking fee, and made $99,000 on $1,000 investment wants to be a Champion for the middle class? What about the lower class? What about the upper class? Isn’t the President supposed to represent ALL Americans?

Will she spread her wealth to others that don’t make as much as she does as part of her income equality initiative?

This woman is a two faced liar and while she may not be as good at it as her husband, the scary part is that she may be better at it then he is.

This country, my country, OUR country does not need another eight years of scandals, sexual escapades, corruption, and lies. To vote for her because she’s a woman would be foolish to the extreme. She’s not looking out for the public trust and the public should not trust her.

One more thing. Remember Benghazi? Remember the election of 2008? Hillary asked the question: Who do you want answering the phone at 3:00 in the morning. The people chose Barack Obama for some reason. But on September 11, 2012, that call came in at 3:00 in the morning. Unfortunately, both Obama and Hillary were there to answer the phone. And four men died! What did Hillary have to say about that? “What does it matter now?”  What did they both say about it at the time? It was caused by a video mocking the Muslim prophet.

The Clintons had the AFDA as their machine in the 80's and 90's. It was in Arkansas and continued through his presidency. Now for Hillary's presidential run they have apparently  taken that small AFDA operation idea and created one that operates on a Worldwide scale and called it the Clinton Foundation. 

Tonight at 10:00 on the Fox News Channel, Bret Baier is doing a special report on the Clintons and the foreign money. I urge you to watch it. It will likely be replayed over the weekend. Watch it. Maybe watch it a couple of times to let it all sink in.

Hillary Clinton is not the one to elect to be President of the United States. She can't be trusted to walk a dog, she should never be in a position of the public trust. She can't be trusted!

Hillary Clinton: And the hits just keep on coming

It appears as though we’re about to do some time traveling. Each time Bill and Hillary Clinton are involved in something to do with the Government, the word “scandal” is attached.

I was originally going to write something a week or so ago when I heard some liberal guest on a talk show say that the country was tired of the Bush vs Clinton campaigns as a reason for Jeb Bush not to run against Hillary Clinton. It was inconceivable to the liberal that maybe Hillary shouldn’t run to avoid a Bush or a Clinton as President. But then, as often happens with the Clintons, another activity of theirs hits the news.

So let’s look back to 1992 and beyond. Bill Clinton announced he was a candidate for President. Not long after his announcement the country was introduced to a woman named Gennifer Flowers. Betsey Wright, then an assistant campaign director for Clinton coined the term “bimbo eruptions” as more allegations of Clintons affairs started jumping out of the woodwork. Flowers, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and even rumors of an affair with Eleanor Mondale, the daughter of Walter Mondale.

Once elected, there were numerous rumors, scandals and of course, more females. Vince Foster committed suicide, rumored to have been having an affair with Hillary Clinton, involved in Whitewater and even the circumstances around his death were questioned. Of course, there was Whitewater and the McDougalls, the travel office scandal that Hillary was directly involved in, the FBI files that went missing and were later discovered on Hillary’s coffee table two years later. There was also the affair between Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky which made Clinton the second President in history to be impeached.

There was also the campaign finance scandals. Charlie Trie, John Huang, James Riady, and others. Money coming in illegally that had to be returned and left all of the above indicted and convicted and in prison.

For twenty years our President was named either Bush or Clinton. Only once did they actually face each other in an election. That was in 1992 when Bill Clinton defeated George H. W. Bush. Clinton ran against Bob Dole for his second term. In 2000 it was Bush v Gore. In 2004 it was Bush v Kerry, and in 2008 it was Obama that beat out Hillary to run against McCain.

In 2016 we may have the second election where it’s actually a Bush v Clinton race. We hear much about Bush’s problems with the Conservatives over Common Core and Immigration reform Policy problems. Not scandals.

Let’s look at Hillary Clinton. Today, it’s Hillary Clinton, just as it was when she ran for the Senate in New York. But once elected she became Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Now, as we move to the primary season, she’s Hillary Clinton again. Like the Clinton of the 90’s, regardless of her name preference, we’re seeing scandals emerge.

As Secretary of State, when she wasn’t being shot at getting off of a plane in Bosnia (she wasn’t, she just misremembered ala Brian Williams), she was hiding from what happened in Benghazi. To her credit, at least she didn’t go before committees and say “I don’t recall” as she did in the 90’s. Instead she said “what difference at this point does it make.”

We also shouldn't forget that she lies about insignificant things as well. Such as being named for Sir Edmund Hillary who climbed Mt. Everest in 1953. The problem is that in 1947, when Hillary was born, he hadn't climbed that mountain yet. Maybe her mom was clairvoyant and named him the guy that would "someday" climb Mt Everest. 

Now there are two more. Back to foreign money coming in and using personal E-mail to circumvent the transparency rules that haven’t really been followed by anyone anyway.

This comes the day before the Supreme Court hears another case regarding Obamacare that could end up dismantling Obamacare, along with the revelation of taxes and the Democrats running away from the taxes they put into Obamacare.

Does Obamacare remind you at all of HillaryCare? That too was a big tax laden plan to take over the health care industry and it failed.

As always with the Clinton’s, sex comes into play whether they are in or out of office. Reports of Bill Clniton having a mistress, and lately of him going to orgy island and now even his portrait that hangs in Washington DC. The artist said that he had a maniken and it cast a shadow and he left it as a representation of the famous blue dress of Monica Lewinsky.

We have terrorist organizations that are wanting to kill Americans just because they are Americans. They are beheading people that they kidnap and burning others alive in cages. Do we really want to go back to the days of Bill Clinton’s infidelity and Hillary’s enabling of it? Do we really want to spend another four or eight years with scandal after scandal? Is the country really tired of a Bush or Clinton presidency or are they just tired of the teenage games played by Bill Clinton and the coverups and excuse making by Hillary?

And to think my original worry was this nation would do what it did in the past by choosing Barack Obama as President, not for what he’d accomplished nor his ideas, but because he was the first black President and that we’d do the same thing by saying we’ll elect Hillary to have our first female President.

We were warned that electing Obama would create more taxes, more debt, larger deficits and more regulations. But we still elected him. To elect Hillary, we’ll get still more taxes, more debt, larger deficits, more regulations and more scandals.

We need to concentrate on eliminating ISIS. Fighting terrorism and winning. Not negotiating how to make a name for ourselves by allowing Iran to get nuclear weapons, or how to apologize to Cuba and pay them off to be our friends.

To have Hillary Clinton elected to be Hillary Rodham Clinton is to continue with our borders being imaginary lines. To continue to punish our ambassadors and blame it on videos that nobody sees. To return to 4-8 years of scandals and possibly another impeachment.

Remember when the Clinton’s left the White House last time? They removed the W’s from the computer keyboards and they trashed the people’s house and stole many items from it. Teenage pranks.

For us being the greatest country in the world, it appears that we don’t want to act like it if we allow Hillary Clinton to get her foot in the door at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. If Hillary Clinton even runs as expected, it will be just like the old rock and roll radio announcers of the 60’s. “and the hits just keep on coming.”
